Yazen named the fastest-growing startup in the Nordics and Benelux in the Sifted 100 Leaderboard
Yazen has been named the fastest-growing startup in the Nordics and Benelux, according to The Sifted 100: Nordics and Benelux Europe Leaderboard. The ranking highlights the 100 startups that have achieved the highest percentage revenue growth over the past three financial years.
– “This is a proud moment! Being ranked number one among so many fantastic companies in the region demonstrates the strength of our model and our team. A huge thank you to our employees, partners, and all patients who are part of our journey,” says Fredrik Meurling, CEO of Yazen.
In just one year, Yazen has grown from 150 to 250 employees, of which 180 work in medical care – including 100 licensed physicians. During the same period, the company’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) increased from €15 million to €32 million.
Today, Yazen supports patients in seven countries – Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands – and continues to expand rapidly across Europe. The company’s ambition is to become the leading pan-European digital clinic for the treatment of obesity.
Yazen’s care model, which combines modern medications with lifestyle changes, has shown outstanding results. To date, over 40,000 patients have been treated, with a combined weight loss of more than 350 tons. Real-world data presented by Yazen at the European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in Malaga shows that the combination of medication, continuous digital care, and support from a multidisciplinary care team leads to better and more sustainable results than medication alone.
Alongside expansion into new markets, Yazen continues to invest in innovation and service development, both technically and clinically. Innovations include connected smart scales, digital 3D body scanning, and new digital tools for supporting behavioral change. Care is delivered by cross-functional teams consisting of physicians, dietitians, psychologists, health coaches, and personal trainers.
