Yazen Unveils Festive Food Survival Guide For Millions OnWeight Loss Drugs

LONDON – [December 11, 2025] – As the countdown to Christmas begins, for the 1.5 million estimated people in the UK using GLP-1/GIP medications, the festive food noise is deafening and for many, the fear of navigating the festive period without 'falling off the wagon' is the number one concern.

Yazen, a digital healthcare provider specialising in obesity treatment across Europe, is tackling the 'festive food noise fear' with practical advice and a new online series with world-class chef Tristan Welch and TV icon, Gemma Collins.

Erik Dunåker, a dietician at Yazen, comments: “The excitement of Christmas—marked by boozy work parties, indulgent dinners, and endless treats can be overwhelming for those on a weight loss journey. At Yazen, there are no food rules and importantly there is no shaming or stigmatising, just easy access to doctor and coach led support via the app, to ensure you can enjoy the festivities whilst maintaining balance and weight loss goals.”

To help manage the festive food noise and fears, Yazen has partnered with top chef Tristan Welch, whose culinary credentials include working with Gordon Ramsay and in top Michelin-starred kitchens. The online series, filmed with Yazen patient and  TV icon Gemma Collins, includes an episode on 'Snacking at Christmas' that demonstrates how to enjoy the festive season while staying balanced. As well as delicious and guilt-free Christmas recipes.

Chef Tristan Welch’s Top 5 Tips for a Balanced Christmas:

  1. Load your plate with meat for protein and vegetables for fibre - just limit the roast potatoes and aim for a splash of gravy only.
  2. Smaller plates cut down your portion sizes, and that goes for desserts too. Try it!
  3. I don’t want to be The Grinch - just enjoy everything in moderation. It’s a balance.
  4. Have a snack drawer prepared with fruit and vegetables for when you get that craving for a Christmas biscuit or two!
  5. Plan for Christmas with the Yazen app - get inspired by their festive recipes, including a guilt-free, beautiful, mulled, winter warmer.

Check out Tristan’s top tip videos and festive recipes, including Christmas brownie balls and mulled wine, prepared with his glamorous assistant and Yazen patient, Gemma Collins, here.

A Yazen patient commented “Before Yazen, I used to dread the Christmas party season—it was completely overwhelming from what to wear to what to eat and I often felt I had failed myself by January. This year is completely different. Having my dedicated care team, especially my dietician and YazenCoach, available has meant I've felt supported through every tough moment, and I can actually focus on enjoying quality time with my family instead of fixating on food.”
