What is the difference between Yazen Change and Yazen Clarity – and when can I switch?
The Change phase usually lasts between 12 and 24 months, depending on your individual progress and medical evaluations. You and your doctor decide together when it is the right time to move forward – but the phase never lasts longer than 24 months.
When can I move to Clarity?
The transition to Yazen Clarity takes place after a medical assessment.
It is important to understand that your goal weight alone does not determine whether you can move forward. In addition to reaching (or being stable close to) your goal weight, other health factors and medical criteria must also be met. You should have a good understanding of the disease, as well as how your own health is influenced by your lifestyle. Over time, the goal is for you to become confident in managing the disease independently to achieve sustainable results. You will always have access to the expert team according to your needs. Obesity (overweight) is a chronic disease, and the challenges of maintaining weight loss and support needs can change over time. The final decision is always made by your responsible doctor based on a comprehensive assessment of:
• Your weight development
• Stability over time
• Any medical parameters
• Your overall health condition
• The need for continued medical follow-up
The transition is therefore not automatic based solely on the number on the scale.
What does Clarity include?
In the Clarity phase, you can choose which parts of the service you want to keep, for example:
• Continued contact with your personal doctor
• Prescription renewal
• Support from your YazenCoach
• Access to the app to track your health data, receive daily tips, and participate in the Community
This gives you greater flexibility to tailor the support to your needs.
What happens with the medication?
When you reach your goal weight, you and your doctor will discuss reducing the medication to a maintenance dose. The goal is to find a maintenance dose that helps you remain weight-stable and avoid weight regain. Currently, there is no research or long-term data supporting complete discontinuation of the medication. Treatment may therefore be lifelong. Yazen follows scientific developments and provides care based on evidence and clinical experience.
If you were previously treated by another provider
If you have received weight-loss medication from another healthcare provider and have already reached – or are close to – your goal weight, you can continue your treatment with Yazen. You will begin in the Change phase, where you and your new doctor create an individual plan for maintaining your results. After an individual assessment, a transition to Clarity may become relevant.
Your journey continues – with a focus on long-term health, stable weight, and sustainable habits.
